I am currently looking for an experienced civil or structural design engineer to join a company that is forever expanding with new projects and contracts. The ideal candidate will be undertaking structural design on a variety of civil and structural engineering projects within commercial, education, industrial and residential sectors on projects worth upwards of £50 million. The ideal structural engineer will be heading up the design and management of the contracts. This role is very autonomous and will be a mixture of working from home and also working on site / in the office.

Salary: £50,000 - £100,000 negotiable dependent on experience. 

 

Structural Design Engineer attributes and qualities:

  • Must have proficient engineering design software knowledge
  • Either be chartered or be working towards your chartership through ICE or IStructE
  • Hold either B.Eng or M.Eng qualification with minimum 7 years worth of industry post graduate experience
  • Communication skills are essential
  • Be able to manage your workload to meet the clients requirements, manage project engineers, technicians and project timeframes
  • Accuracy must be of highest standard due to writing reports and and project documentation
  • Must be able to confidently represent company at meetings and liaise with consultants, contractors and clients.
