We are currently looking for senior structural engineer who has vast experience within the construction or surveying industry. You will be undertaking structural design work on a variety of civil and structural engineering products including, residential, commercial, educational and industrial sectors. As a senior structural engineer you will taking charge of projects up to values of £30 million and you will be working closely with surveyors and site engineers. The offices will be based in the heart of Leicester and you will be given the opportunity of working from home and also from the office to allow flexible schedules.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:30am to 17:30pm.
Senior Structural engineer responsibilities:
- Perform design and analysis functions for various structures
- Have design experience and structural analysis skills in all common structural materials, concrete, steel, timber and masonry.
- Attend meetings with clients and other professionals and organisations
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures
- Supervise other engineers on site and within the office.
- Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within the allocated budget, time and project constraints.
- Review designs prepared by other engineers as part of the TQM process.
We are desperate to speak to candidates who hold a M.Eng or a B.Eng qualifications and at least 5 years postgraduate experience within a structural design role. We are also keen to speak to candidates who are chartered or are working towards their chartership through IStructE or ICE as this will help you within this role.
