Punch Machine Operator
Are you an experienced Contract Punch Machine Operator looking to join a renowned POS company? We are seeking a motivated and organized candidate who is enthusiastic about joining a highly professional and ambitious team. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for operating a punch machine to cut/trim, bend/shape and buff substrates and ensure within certain tolerances. You will also be responsible for inspecting finished products in accordance with company and customer requirements.
The successful candidate will be offered a temp to perm contract and a full training on the new machinery.
This eventually will turn into a weekend shift only (4 days) overall 34.5 hours per week (it could vary) but the pay rate will be slighly higher to earn the same amount as working on a standard 37,5 hour per week shift. Candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday for the first 13 weeks, then will be moved on to a weekend shift from Thursday to Sunday. Please note, flexibility is a must in this role.
Standard working hours for the first 13 weeks is start 7.30am - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and offering an early finish on a Friday at 12.30pm. After the training the working hours will change to a 6am start, candidates must have own transport due to location of the company.

- Operate and maintain machines used in the production process
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper calibration
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure smooth running and identify any issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
```Experience```
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools used in metalworking
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in welding, assembling, and fabricating metal components
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues
- Understanding of tooling requirements for different production tasks
