Contract Powder Coater
We are looking to recruit a Contract Powder Coater for a POS company.
James Grace Local is currently recruting for an experienced powder coater to join a POS manufacturing business based near Loughborough. The successful candidate will be offered a temp to perm contract and a full training on the new machinery.
This eventually will turn into a weekend shift only (4 days) overall 34.5 hours per week (it could vary) but the pay rate will be slighly higher to earn the same amount as working on a standard 37,5 hour per week shift. Candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday for the first 13 weeks, then will be moved on to a weekend shift from Thursday to Sunday. Please note, flexibility is a must in this role.
Standard working hours for the first 13 weeks is start 7.30am - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and offering an early finish on a Friday at 12.30pm. After the training the working hours will change to a 6am start, candidates must have own transport due to location of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate power tools and hand tools to assist in the powder coating process
- Apply powder coating using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Ensure proper curing of powder coating by monitoring temperature and time
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing coatings
- Experience with paint or powder coating processes preferred
- Ability to use hand tools, such as sanders, grinders, and spray guns
- Knowledge of welding, assembling, and fabricating metal components is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to various weather conditions
The successful candidate must have experience in Powder Coater with particular expertise in "powder coater". We are looking for someone with a flexible approach, excellent communication skills and who is capable of working on their own or as part of a team.
The role is offering an hourly rate of £12 - £15 per hour in a medium-sized company with 66-250 employees.
