The Role
As a Payroll & HR Advisor, you will play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently while providing HR administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers, colleagues, and the Finance team to deliver a professional and confidential service.
Key Duties
Payroll Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of end-to-end payroll.
- Update payroll records including changes to salaries, working hours, benefits, and deductions.
- Work closely with Finance and departmental managers to ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date.
- Handle payroll-related enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with current legislation and company procedures.
HR Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across a range of HR activities.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Support absence management processes and family leave administration.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance activities, and ongoing HR projects.
- Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries from employees.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2 years' experience in payroll processing.
- Previous experience within a payroll and/or HR administration role.
- A recognised Payroll or HR qualification.
- Sound understanding of payroll regulations and employment legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
