- Lead and manage all production departments on the night shift to deliver production plans safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Ensure effective utilisation of machinery and labour, actively managing workflows and resolving bottlenecks.
- Monitor KPIs including productivity, quality, downtime, and rework, reporting findings and escalating operational issues as needed.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to technical supervision, with expertise in press brakes, laser cutting, CNC punching, and welding (MIG/TIG).
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, conduct safety checks, investigate incidents, and promote a positive safety culture.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the night shift team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and skill development.
- Oversee training programmes, inductions, and skill-building initiatives to enhance team flexibility and resilience.
- Identify and implement productivity enhancements, reduce downtime, scrap, and rework, and promote lean working practices.
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing Production or Shift Manager role, ideally within a fabrication or printing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in press brakes, laser cutting, CNC punching, and MIG/TIG welding.
- Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and performance management through KPIs.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail, results-driven mindset, and a calm, professional demeanour.
