Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties

  • Set up and calibrate press brake machines according to specifications and production requirements.
  • Operate press brake machinery to bend sheet metal accurately, ensuring adherence to technical drawings and safety standards.
  • Inspect finished components for quality, dimensions, and conformity to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor adjustments on equipment to maintain optimal operation.
  • Use hand tools, tooling, and measuring devices such as calipers and gauges to ensure precision.
  • Assist with fabrication tasks including grinding, welding, and assembly as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or operating press brake machinery.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with grinding, welding, hand tools, tooling, and assembly processes.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation and fabrication environments.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
  • Prior experience with sheet metal or related manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
