🛠 The Role

As a Welder, you’ll play a key role in the production of steel fabrication projects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality welds that meet engineering specifications and industry standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to deadline.


📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Weld metal components in line with engineering drawings and specifications

  • Carry out flat welds and correctly set plant (amps and current) for vertical up welds

  • Perform all types of MIG welding to high standards using engineering drawings and jig arrangements

  • Set up welding plant and gas correctly before commencing work

  • Deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations

  • Read and interpret weld symbols on engineering drawings

  • Work in accordance with SHE standards, including fume control procedures

  • Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components

  • Inspect finished welds and complete adjustments or repairs as required

  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment


👤 About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Welder

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Welding & Fabrication

  • Proficient in MMA 131 welding

  • Experience in 2G Flat / 3G Vertical / 4F Overhead welding

  • Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols

  • Skilled in using power tools and fabrication equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards

  • Good mathematical skills for accurate measurements

  • Ability to assemble fabricated components into finished products
