Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Are you an experienced CNC Laser Operator looking for a permanent opportunity? We are recruiting for a skilled individual to join a busy and growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern production environment where quality, precision, and teamwork are valued.

The Role

As a CNC Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality components to specification. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machinery in line with technical drawings and production specifications
  • Load, position, and prepare sheet metal and other materials for processing
  • Monitor machine performance throughout production, making adjustments where required to maintain quality
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications
  • Assist with fabrication duties, including grinding, welding, and assembly when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Complete production documentation and report any faults or production issues to supervisors

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery
  • Experience within a fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing environment
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Welding, grinding, or assembly experience (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Own transport, due to the location of the site
