We are currently looking to recruit a HSE manager to help develop company health, safety, welfare, quality, environmental and hygiene business continuity management systems and ensure they are maintained and implement throughout the business. You will be working for a great company with a strong work ethic to always be moving forwards and developing new ideas. We are keen to speak to candidates who have experience in manufacturing environments or have previously worked in HSE environments. 

 

Hours of work: 

08:00am - 17:00pm - Monday to Friday. 

 

HSE manager key roles and responsibilities: 

  • Advising managers and directors on legislative and other external changes and company policies as required. 
  • To ensure management is implementing and enforcing company procedures and standards on site. 
  • Continual improvement, management and maintenance of the IMS to ensure they meet the requirements of the standards (ISO 14001 / 9001 / 45001). 
  • Evaluation of impacts and aspects covering the sites activities.
  • Management of waste transfers and documentation.
  • Ensure business is fully compliant with national / international laws & regulations as well as the requirements of ISO clauses, standards and procedures. 
  • Carry out internal audits (compliance, physical, legal and systems). 
  • COSHH, Noise, manual handling, ULD and RSI - risk assessments will be carried out across site. 
  • Must be flexible to travel to customer or sister sites. 
  • Assessing work reports, filing, maintaining records and reporting. 
  • Monitor procedures / QIC / SoW in conjunction with the production team to enable us to meet and exceed our customers targets and expectations. 
  • Liaise with customers / contractors / suppliers to obtain relevant information and documentation.

Knowledge and skills: 

  • Manufacturing industry / understanding
  • Impeccable knowledge of ISO standards 
  • MUST be NEBOSH certified.
  • Up to date environmental knowledge
