Job Title: General Operative (Engineering Environment)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a well-established engineering company based in Coalville. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and the chance to progress within a growing business. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with day-to-day operations within the engineering workshop
- Supporting engineers and technicians with assembly and production tasks
- Handling materials and components safely and efficiently
- Operating basic tools and machinery
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Carrying out basic quality checks and reporting any issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment (essential)
- Good understanding of workshop processes and safe working practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
