James Grace Associates is currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable engineering and manufacturing company based in Coalville, Leicestershire. They are seeking a dedicated Contract Freight Administrator to join their logistics team on an ongoing basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated administrator with experience in logistics coordination to contribute to a busy, dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of logistics operations, supporting smooth freight and transportation processes, and fostering strong relationships both internally and externally.   • Complete all consignment tasks, including organising international transport via road, sea, or airfreight, ensuring timely delivery in line with client requirements.
  • Create, review, and maintain accurate export documents and customs paperwork, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Proactively track and monitor outbound freight, communicating regularly with clients, hauliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily logistics activities, including event logs and documentation updates.
  • Negotiate and arrange haulage services, securing cost-effective and efficient shipping solutions.
  • Support legal compliance, particularly with regards to the movement of hazardous goods, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, fostering positive working relationships and clear communication channels.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or logistics support role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner, with excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of anticipating and resolving issues quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
