Commis Chef

Location: Appleby Magna & surrounding venues
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 5 days out of 7 – flexible hours depending on business needs

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Commis Chef to join our team, based in the Appleby Magna area.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across different sites and at events held at some venues. No two days will necessarily be the same, and the role would suit someone who enjoys a busy, hands-on catering environment.

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team with the preparation and service of food, helping to ensure our events and venues maintain a high standard of food and service.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with food preparation and cooking

• Supporting the senior chefs and wider kitchen team

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene

• Helping with kitchen set-up and close-down

• Working as part of a team during busy service periods

• Travelling to and working at off-site events and other venues when required

• Supporting different catering operations depending on business requirements

Essential Requirements

Due to the nature of the role and our insurance requirements, applicants must:

• Be aged 21 or over

• Hold a full manual driving licence

• Have access to their own vehicle

• Be willing and able to travel to different sites and venues when required

The role is based around 5 days out of 7, however, working hours will be flexible and may vary depending on business requirements and event schedules. You may occasionally be allocated to work at an off-site event at one of our venues.
