James Grace Local is currently recruiting for an experienced Planner Buyer to join an expanding packaging manufacturer in Coalville.
This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary and a good package.
Candidate must have previous experience working in a similar industry – packaging, box making, print industry.
Planner Buyer job responsibilities:
• Purchasing raw materials to ensure products can be made in line with the production schedule and delivered on time to our customers
• Planning of resources
• Monitoring of the production plan and delivery processes
• Ensuring material inventories are up to date
• Oversee and negotiate product storage, handling and distribution
• Tracking of goods from origin to delivery using the stock control system
• Keeping track of costings involved in the supply chain process whilst also maintaining quality
• Assist with finished goods and despatch duties as necessary
Planner Buyer experience required:
• A working knowledge of the Shuttleworth system and internal manufacturing processes would be highly advantageous for this role.
• IT Literate with a good working knowledge of excel
• Buying and/or production planning experience would be highly advantageous however we will also consider applicants who can demonstrate the ability to attain these skills in a timely manner via training/development.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with several different stakeholders, both internal and external. You will be a team player working effectively with the supply chain team and the production teams to ensure customer demands are met. You will be a self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure and take a proactive approach to you own learning and development.

Pay:
£24,000 - £26,000 per annum depending on experience
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 3.45pm and Fridays 7.30am-2.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
