We are looking for experienced fitter to begin on a new contract, assembling crusher components to be sent out to quarry, mining and aggregate companies worldwide, after winning over a new contract. These components will be one off, bespoke components ordered by the clients. This fitter role will involve hydraulics such as bearings and rollers and the ideal mechanical fitter must be able to read from engineering drawings and use measuring tools to do their own fault finding and quality inspection. You will have the benefits of an early finish on Fridays and also a great team to work in with plenty of progression opportunities. 


Fitter hours: Morning shift!

Mon - Thurs: 06:30am - 14:30pm

Fri: 06:30am - 14:00pm 


Mechanical fitter duties daily:

- Safe and controlled movement of parts.

- Assembling crusher parts from scratch and using engineering drawings to do so. 

- Meeting set targets from the production manager. 

- Operating overhead cranes safely. 

- Working within a fast paced production line

- Fitting hydraulics such as rollers and bearings. 


We are desperate to speak to mechanical fitters who have previously been involved in a heavy engineering background and also worked within the quarry / mining or aggregate industry. Any kind of hydraulics and mechanical fitting experience with overhead crane experience would be ideal. 


Ideal mechanical fitter experience:

- Previously worked from engineering drawings.

- Experience of fitting hydraulics 

- Manufacturing / assembly experience

- Previous mechanical assembler or production / fitter / assembly experience required

- Must be able to do own quality inspection 

- Heavy lifting or worked with large components experience required. 

- Overhead crane experience required
