Reporting directly to the divisional director, you will be directly responsible for the successful roll out of a new data initiative to streamline sales and margin reporting. This position sits between operations and finance, resulting in a diverse workload at times.
The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis for the business, including cleansing large data sets.
Responsibilities
- Understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, which can be better understood with data
- Compile and analyse data to be utilised by the pricing and product teams and improving the accuracy of forecasting.
- Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience gained within a similar role
- Previous experience within an accounts environment could be advantageous as would a recognised qualification although this is by no means essential
- 1 - 2 years' Data Analysis experience
- Proficient in Excel and ideally Cognos (not essential)
- Sales forecasting / pricing experience would be advantageous
