Cleaning Supervisor role available for a reputable cleaning company based in Coalville. 

£22,880 per annum with progression. 

40 hour working week between hours of 6am to 9pm (Monday to Friday)

Cleaning supervisor responsibilities: 

SITE AUDITS

 Regular auditing of cleaning standards, site stock and machinery audits and staff performance

 Monitoring of service requirements and associated changes to quoted agreement and advising Managing Director accordingly.

 Monitoring of Health and Safety Compliance to include lone working policies, site H&S pack updates and associated tasks to ensure compliance of sites and service delivery and reporting any issues to the Managing Director

 Monitoring of staff welfare and development to ensure they are equipped and able to carry out their works.

MANAGEMENT OF STAFF

 Receipt of absence notification and holiday requests for afternoon/evening cleaning team (authorising as appropriate)

 Plotting all planned and unauthorised absence in diary system and implementing appropriate planning to cover all afternoon/evening sites

 Communicating staff absence to HR/Payroll (Inc. holiday)

 To manage and monitor personnel issues relating to holiday requests, sick management, staff welfare and disciplinary. Flagging concerns to the HR Manager from the point at which efforts have been exhausted

 Attend Disciplinary Meetings as required (with HR)

 To manage the recruitment of part-time contract cleaners (from advertising a vacancy, to organising interviews, inductions, documentation for HR.

 Ensuring completion of 3 part induction process (and associated training) for all new staff

 Ensuring completion of annual training for all staff

 Payroll – logging of payroll diary (recording overtime and absence, etc.) throughout the month in order to create and submit a monthly payroll spreadsheet to HR

 Informing the Managing Director of non-cleans for client invoicing.

GENERAL

 Problem solving as issues arise

 To have weekly meetings with the Managing Director and other Contract Managers to discuss staffing/contract issues and action as required

 It may, at times, be necessary for a contract site to be cleaned in the absence of all other cover options available to you

 To set up new office cleaning contracts (at point of handover from Managing Director as signed off agreement received)

 

Ideal cleaning supervisor candidate : 

  Commercial cleaning management – 1 year minimum

 Computer/IT literate (Microsoft Office – Excel/Word/Outlook), plus experience of using a Database system

 Diary management experience essential

 Excellent organisational skills

 Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work

 Knowledge of the cleaning service industry

 A full, clean driving licence
