We are currently on the hunt for an applications engineer to join a multi award winning team based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The ideal applications engineer will be strongly biased towards CNC turning and have a proven background using multi-turret configuration lathes. For this role we are looking for an applications engineer experienced with both multi-axis turning (twin spindle/twin turret ideally) and 5-Axis Milling. Comfortable on both Fanuc and Siemens controls. You will be assisting the technical operations team with the pre and post activity. With this role you will be given a healthy salary package, benefits and a great career path.  

 

Applications Engineer responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings to assess technical support requirements.
  • Interpret enquiries and identify most suitable products from company portfolio in order to provide most efficient and effective production solutions. 
  • Analysis of drawings, projects plans and components to identify the optimum method and time for machining parts
  • Schedule and conduct pre-sales customer demonstrations utilising in-depth production engineering information and tooling technology
  • Support and where appropriate, develop and present turnkey proposals.
  • Manage demo, stock and replenish as necessary
  • Support machine programming and development of process recommendations. 

 

We are desperate to speak to candidates who have programming experience on multi-axes CNC turning and also experience on at least one CAM package as this experience can be directly related to this role. We are also keen to speak to candidates who have experience of process development, machine commissioning and customer training. Siemens and Fanuc controls experience will also be very valuable when applying to this role. 

 

Applications engineer benefits:

  • Very healthy salary between £35,000 to £45,000 per annum DOE
  • Pension matched by company (rising by age and level of employment) 
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays
